On 22 April 2020 AWS announced that it’s AWS Africa Region had gone live and customers will be able to run their applications and serve end-users in Africa. The AWS Africa (Cape Town) Region has three Availability Zones. There are indeed three availability zones af-south-1a, af-south-1b, and af-south-1c and expect latency improvements in speed through AWS datacentre.
